STATEMENT OF POLICY BACKGROUND RE/MAX Around Atlanta Partners School of Real Estate is approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission to offer Salesperson Prelicense, Broker Prelicense, Postlicense and Continuing Education courses. Our school code is #4071 and our approval is renewable on December 31, 2008. ATTENDANCE Students are required to attend or complete all of the required minimum hours. Depending on the course format you have chosen, you will be informed of the minimum requirement. Any missed required attendance will have to be made up by the student before taking the course final exam and becoming certified as having completed the course. Make-up sessions will be made available in another scheduled RE/MAX Around Atlanta Partners School of Real Estate course (in-class format). There is a $25 fee paid in advance for each make-up session scheduled. Check with school adminstration for in-class course schedules for any time to be made up. Because of the difficulty in being assured you can make up a class at a convenient time, we strongly suggest you attend all of the classes for which you are scheduled thereby alleviating the need for any make-up sessions. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS All new students with prior criminal convictions or Disciplinary Actions (including DUI's) may file an application for Preliminary Decision with the Commission before or immediately upon enrollment. Such students should utilize the commission's Preliminary Decision Application found in the AMP Candidate Information Booklet. A student who waits until he or she has taken the examination to seek Commission review of a conviction/disciplinary action faces a possible delay of several weeks in obtaining a license. RECRUITING No recruiting for employment opportunities for any real estate brokerage company is allowed in this class or on the school premises, except on designated Career Nights. Career Nights are periodic organized recruitment events that are outside of the regularly scheduled in-class instruction hours. Report any effort to recruit by anyone other than in the above described manner to the Director of the RE/MAX Around Atlanta Partners School of Real Estate at 404-459-5711 or the Georgia Real Estate Commission at 404-656-3916. GRADING All students will be required to conform to the grading policies of the course under Commission approval. Some in-class courses will have separate homework assignments that must be satisfactorily completed before certification can occur. Students are required to score a 75% or better on prelicense final exams in order to be certified as having completed the course. If a student, for any reason, fails to show for a scheduled course final exam , then a $30 fee will be charged to reschedule an individual final exam date and time. Should you fail to score a 75%, you will be allowed to retake the exam once at no additional charge. If a student fails to achieve a passing score on a second examination, the student must repeat all in-class instruction of the course before taking another examination. The fee to retake the course is $175.00. NO EXCEPTIONS! RETURNED CHECKS/REFUNDS Any applicant who has a returned check or declined charge will be assessed a $30 fee. Tuition refunds, minus a $50.00 processing fee, will be granted up until one week prior to the start of the first class session. A refund check will be sent via USPS to that student's address on record. There will be an additional book fee of $75.00 for Salesperson Prelicense and $125 for Broker Prelicense if the textbooks have been issued. Within one week of the first class session beginning, NO refunds will be issued; however, tuition may be applied to a later class date within the following 90 day period. A $75.00 transfer fee will also be required. REPEATING A COURSE A student may repeat or audit a course one time within 12 months of the original enrollment for an administration fee of $175.00 on a space available basis. SCHEDULE CHANGES Scheduled dates, locations, and prices are subject to change. It is sometimes necessary to combine classes to meet minimum student requirements. We try to provide as much notice as possible in these cases.
